Democratic Candidates Forum

Democratic Candidate Forum to Showcase Federal and Statewide Candidates Ahead of Primary Elections

John Vincent hosts unified forum for candidates on the Democratic primary ballot for SC-7 voters

FLORENCE, SC — John Vincent, the presumptive Democratic nominee for Congress in South Carolina's 7th District, will host a Democratic Candidate Forum on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT) Building on the campus of Florence-Darlington Technical College. The forum will bring together Democratic candidates running for federal and statewide offices on the ballot for voters in South Carolina's 7th Congressional District.

Vincent, who is running unopposed in the Democratic primary, is hosting the forum as a service to South Carolina voters and the Democratic Party. The event aims to inform and energize voters, strengthen campaign efforts across the district, and build unity among Democratic candidates ahead of the November general election.

"I'm running unopposed in the primary, which gives me the opportunity to focus on something bigger than my own campaign—helping voters hear directly from all the Democratic candidates who want to represent them," said John Vincent. "Our party is strongest when we work together. This forum is about giving voters the information they need to make their voices heard in the primaries, and building the foundation for Democratic success in November."

Event Details:

  • Date: Tuesday, May 19, 2026

  • Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

  • Location: Southeastern Institute of Manufacturing and Technology (SiMT) Building
    Florence-Darlington Technical College
1951 Pisgah Road, Florence, SC 29501

On-Stage Participants: Candidates running for the following offices will participate in the formal forum program with opening statements, Q&A, and closing statements:

  • Governor

  • U.S. Senate

  • Constitutional Officers (Treasurer, Superintendent of Education, etc.)

Meet & Greet Participants: Candidates for State Senate and State House of Representatives are welcome to participate in the meet-and-greet session, will be recognized by the host, and may participate in post-forum media interviews.

Information Tables: All candidates, regardless of office, may set up information tables in the hall outside the auditorium to distribute campaign materials and speak with attendees.

The forum will feature a meet-and-greet session beginning at 5:30 PM, giving attendees an opportunity to speak directly with candidates. The formal program begins at 6:15 PM and will include opening statements, an office-specific question-and-answer session with audience participation, and closing statements. The event will be live streamed to multiple platforms for voters who cannot attend in person.
